The Fab Faux Uniondale Concert reviews
Consummate professional
The pacing of the show was spot on, with full-on large band numbers that tear the house down and intimate stuff with just The Fab Faux and a few support players. Very few performers put together such a high-caliber show with a band that is consistently amazing. Many in the crowd were disappointed when The Fab Faux mentioned that Francine was not touring with the band this year. It kind of spoils you for other shows. So I guess I can't complain when we "only" get The Fab Faux. If I could only see one show a year, it would probably be The Fab Faux with his Large Band - even though I've seen this show 4 or 5 times now over the past 7 years. The only thing that could have made the show better would have been to have Francine Reed on stage - as in the past. But I was always a little (pleasantly) surprised in past years when she did perform with The Fab Faux - like I was getting two shows - with two stars - for the price of one. Seeing The Fab Faux with his large band is always a huge treat - this year's show was no exception.
